The NU-JD445 from Sharp is suitable for a system voltage of up to 1,500 volts

Sharp is expanding its half-cell portfolio with a new monocrystalline module. The NU-JD445 has 144 half-cells of wafer size M6 and produces 445 watts with a module efficiency of 20.1 per cent.

With dimensions of 2,108 by 1,048 millimetres and an optimised frame, the NU-JD445 has a weight of only 25 kilograms. In addition, the NU-JD445 module uses 1,670 millimetre long cables that allow for cabling in landscape format installations and cost-saving skip cabling in portrait format installations.

The NU-JD445 is suitable for a system voltage of up to 1,500 volts. The low temperature coefficient of minus 0.347 per cent per degree Celsius ensures higher outputs at higher temperatures.

The module features multi-busbar technology using round wires. This increases the power gain of each cell and makes them less susceptible to micro-cracks. This results in higher reliability of the module. All of Sharp's half-cell modules have three small junction boxes, each equipped with a bypass diode. (mfo)
