The German company Kleines Kraftwerk DE has launched a new line of flexible solar modules designed for balconies with glass railings or limited mounting options. Weighing just 4.5 kg per module and capable of bending up to 213 degrees, these modules offer an innovative solution for households previously unable to install traditional solar panels. Using TOPCon technology, the Flex-Series provides up to 30% higher efficiency, producing between 450 kW and 1,800 kW annually depending on the setup. Robust and durable, the modules are dust- and waterproof (IP67), operate reliably between -20°C and 65°C, and retain 85% of their capacity after 15 years. They come with a 25-year warranty and are easy to install without tools in under 30 minutes.

The modules connect safely via VDE-compliant plugs and are compatible with energy storage systems like the Anker Solarbank 2 Pro. Users can monitor energy production in real-time through a smartphone app, promoting accessibility and control. Co-founders Markus Struck and Sebastian Hirt emphasised the product’s social impact, highlighting its ability to bring renewable energy to previously unused spaces like balconies and fences. The Flex-Series aligns with the company’s mission to make the energy transition inclusive, offering a sustainable and cost-effective option for energy independence. (mfo)
