The LG Neon R module from LG Electronics has an output of up to 370 watts. The revised cell structure on the front comes off completely without any electrodes and allows maximum absorption of incident sunlight. Thanks to its increased efficiency, the 60-cell module is particularly suitable for use in limited space – such as small or static roofs with limited load capacity. Due to the improved temperature coefficient, the module also achieves a higher performance on very sunny days, and is also stable in winter, says LG.
Due to the reinforced frame construction, the module is able to withstand pressures of up to 6,000 Pascals, which is equivalent to 1.8 meters of normal snow. In addition, the Neon R withstands a suction of up to 5,400 pascals. This equals a wind speed of 93 metres per second. To compare, in January 2007 Orkantief Kyrill achieved top speeds of up to 56 metres per second. The Neon R has an extended product warranty of 25 years and an improved performance guarantee that, after 25 years, still promises at least 88.4 percent of its original value. (nhp)
