The special glass-free design with a patented glass-fibre reinforced duromer core is extremely flexible and adapts to the existing roof geometry. As in the previous generation of Alwitra's Evalon Solar cSi, the crystalline silicon cells are integrated into the membrane itself. A further advantage is in the low weight of around 3.3 kilograms per square metre.
This makes the membrane ideal for roofs with a low load capacity. Thanks to the output of 450 watts per sheet and the reduced module spacing, up to ten square metres of roof surface are sufficient for every kilowatt installed. The 1.55 metre wide and 3.47 metre long solar membrane is easy to apply and can be homogeneously welded to roofing membranes of the same material. According to the manufacturer, their products fully comply with the relevant DIN standards and their protective objectives for preventing ingress of water. (mfo)
