The NQ-R258H from Sharp is a new addition to its NQ-R product family of back contact modules for residential and commercial use. The monocrystalline PV module with 258 watts incorporates Sharp’s back contact technology with 20 percent efficiency. According to Sharp this is increasing the amount of sunlight that can be used and returning maximum power output for minimum roof space. On the same surface area, the 48 cell modules can generate more power than with conventional 60 cell modules.
The module has a discreet matte black finish, while reflections are minimised thanks to the electrical contact wires being on the underside of the panel. It uses anti-reflection glass to make the panels even less conspicuous.
The solar modules NQ-R258H and NQ-R256A are ideal for all residential spaces, including houses with dormers, because the modules are very versatile. This is due to their compact size, light weight, easy handling and the option for short and long side clamping, says the company. The modules have a frame with two additional support bars and successfully passed a snow load test of 5400Pa according to IEC61215. (nhp)
