The gapless, half-cell design achieves a higher output of 40 watts. In addition, the module is lead-free according to the guidelines for more sustainability. The Pure RX panel was designed with large G12 HJT cells. The switch to large G12 wafers and heterojunction cells (HJT) increases efficiency. A key factor here is the solderless foil and wire combination used in the cell connections.

While most of today's Topcon solar modules have a degradation of 0.4 per cent per year and an output of 89 per cent after 25 years, REC's Alpha HJT products guarantee an output of at least 92 per cent after 25 years. This gives consumers and installers greater certainty of payback. (mfo)
