The contacts are not placed on the front of the cell as usual, but on the back. Due to the reduced shading on the front of the cell, a higher efficiency is thus achieved, while at the same time electron-hole pairs generated by the absorbed light can be collected on the back of the cell.
The Belgian solar module manufacturer Belinus now offers such solar modules as a black glass-glass variant. Such solar modules have already sold well in the Benelux countries, and now the manufacturer is entering the German market. Belinus has just presented a black module with M8 cells that has an output of 390 watts.

It achieves an efficiency of 21.6 per cent, and the supplier gives a 35-year warranty on the module's performance. In addition, Belinus promises its customers an after-sales service over this period as well as shipping of new and old parts or installation according to customer requirements.
Active in the Belgian market since 2015
The module weighs 23.5 kilograms and its dimensions are 1,727 x 1,039 x 30 millimetres. It can be used at temperatures from minus 40 to plus 85 degrees Celsius, and the power loss is 0.288 per cent per Kelvin.
