The NB-JD540 has a module efficiency of 20.9 per cent and has 144 half cells of wafer size M10. The module is suitable for a system voltage of up to 1,500 volts and is printed with white reflectors in the intercell spaces on the back of the glass to increase light absorption on the front. To prevent potential-induced degradation on the back of bifacial modules, a potting film with a combination of ethylene vinyl acetate and polyolefins is used.

The NB-JD540 features 10-busbar technology, which uses round wires. This increases the power gain of each cell and makes them less susceptible to micro-cracking. The NB-JD540 has three small junction boxes, each equipped with a bypass diode. The module weight is 32.5 kilograms. (mfo)
