The new module design provides for a black monolayer to be inserted behind the cells within the double glass laminate in future. The back of the module is thus recognisable as black glass and now gives the modules an even more refined design.

Previously, the black back sheet was laminated behind the back glass. The robust glass back also improves the service life of the black Glass-Glass modules. The company's developers also assume a positive effect on fire behaviour, which is still to be confirmed by an external test laboratory. The new concept is used for both Black and Full Black modules. In the latter, the edge boarding on the top and bottom of the module is additionally blackened. Furthermore, the changeover to the new module design is also planned for the modules with white backs. The changeover is scheduled to take place in the third quarter of 2021. (mfo)
