The new frame makes it easy to fix the module on the short sides of the frame when mounting it in landscape format, in order to optimise the use of space in ground-mounted systems.

With conventional modules of the same size or larger, fixing on the short sides is only possible to a very limited extent or increases the installation and material costs. The new module version with 66 cells is suitable for applications such as landscape format systems in megawatt solar parks. It makes system planning more flexible compared to pure mounting with vertical formats and is compatible with the standard mounting systems on the market.

Thus, six-row systems can be built in landscape format, which would otherwise require more mounting rails and clamps. Mixed forms, in which the module clamps are mounted partly on the short and partly on the long side, are just as feasible as flat roof systems with fastening on the short corner side. (mfo)
