The REC Solar Group produces solar cells and modules and other clean energy products. Alpha Pure is one of the first mass-produced, certified lead-free PV modules based on crystalline silicon and is in compliance with the European Union’s RoHS Directive on the “Restriction of the use of hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment.”

The Alpha Pure also offers up to 410 watts of power at 1.85 square meters, equivalent to a module efficiency of 22.2 per cent. This is achieved by combining the powerful heterojunction solar cells with a wire-based interconnection technology without gaps between the individual solar cells. This solar module’s low carbon footprint and the absence of lead makes it a more sustainable alternative to conventional solar modules for the rooftop market. (mfo)
