Futurasun upgrades the Silk Pro module and presents Silk Premium, its new range of photovoltaic modules. The Italian Futurasun team has designed a new PV panel. The Silk Premium photovoltaic panels are available in two configurations: 120 1/3 cut cells with power ranging between 390 and 410 watts, intended for residential and commercial installations, and 150 1/3 cut cells with power ranging between 490 and 510 watts for commercial and utility scale installations.

The Silk Premium features 120 PERC cells (G12) from 210 mm, multi-busbar, 1/3 cut design. The larger 1/3 cut cell reduces the operating current and internal resistance, improving the overall yield. As a result, the cell undergoes less mechanical stress. Moreover, the new Premium range reduces the space between cells from 2 mm to 0.8 mm.

The 120 cells are laminated and framed in 1754 x 1098 x 30 mm and the module weighs just 21 kg. With 410 watts from a surface area of 1.92 square metres the module achieves an efficiency of up to 21.29 per cent. The Silk Premium also comes in a 150-cell configuration. This module is slightly larger (2185 x 1098 x 35 mm; weight: 26.3 kg) and reaches up to 510 watts of power and up to 21.26 per cent of efficiency. (mfo)
