AluPlusSolar - profiled sheets from Kalzip combined with lightweight integrated photovoltaic modules from DAS Energy - were installed on the roof of the monastery. In this way, a total of 180 highly efficient solar modules of the 12x2M type, each with an output of 120 watts, were installed over an area of 160 square metres, producing an installed output of 22 kilowatts.
Sustainable, almost maintenance-free and efficient
Since the Kalzip 50/444 profile used has the modules electrically connected on the back, a high level of weather protection is guaranteed all year round, an important point for historic renovation properties.

Both the aluminium profile from Kalzip and the solar modules from DAS Energy (only 3.3 kg/m2) are significantly lighter than other roof coverings or conventional glass modules (starting from 20kg). This makes handling and processing much easier. The new PV system on the monastery is thus not only sustainable, almost maintenance-free and efficient - it also ensures that the old Predikherenklooster will remain a silent witness to time for us and future generations for a long time to come.
