The Non-Glare Glass to be fitted to the Vision 60M black allows photovoltaic systems to be installed in areas where sunlight must not be reflected, such as in densely built-up single-family housing estates, where glare is particularly annoying. The glass also conforms to the recommendations of the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and can thus be installed on buildings near airports.
A further glass-glass module from Solarwatt has passed the internal tests for general building approval. For overhead installation as a carport or veranda roof, there will also be a frame-mounted 60-cell module. With the forthcoming approval from the German Institute for Building Technology, the Vision 60M build module is the first standard module to be regarded as a regulated building product. It can therefore be used in private and public areas without restriction and without the need for a separate building permit. (mfo)
