The project developer Abo Wind has so far been developing and installing more than 6.5 gigawatts of wind and solar power worldwide. Now the market is increasingly about hybrid power plants with integrated storage systems.
In commercial systems, it is crucial to determine the load profiles and the exact power requirements. Such hybrid power plants chiefly serve to develop regions that are off the main grid. The combination of photovoltaics and storage at neuralgic grid points reduces voltage deviations and improves the quality of the energy supply. (HS/mfo)
