The self-learning system uses forecasts of expected generation and consumption levels to enable customers to use as much of the electricity produced by their own PV systems in their homes. The app has been developed specifically for Aura customers based on feedback received from customers. It is straight-forward and easy to use and can even be customized, if desired.
Using self-explanatory diagrams the Aura Manager shows at a glance how much solar energy the PV system is producing at any point in time and how much is being used in the home and/or taken from storage. The app also offers an analysis tool developed for PV novices and experts alike. Graphics showing consumption, generation and battery status can be displayed as daily, weekly, monthly and annual charts.
This information can also be summarized in customized diagrams. This way the user can find out and understand in a playful way how his behaviour can improve the efficiency of the PV system. The diverse range of functions is rounded off by a solar self-sufficiency and CO2 savings ranking as well as a customized weather forecast.
The Aura Manager from Eon is smart-grid-ready. The hardware installed can in future also be used to control larger energy-consuming equipment and appliances such as heat pumps, tumble driers and electric cars in an intelligent way.
