With a capacity of up to 4.4 megawatt hours, the container is suitable for any application and can be installed anywhere in the world because it can withstand temperatures between minus 40 and 55 degrees Celsius. The TPS 2.0 is capable of black starting, AI ready and can be serviced remotely. The battery modules are made by Samsung SDI. A newly developed dynamic balancing of the battery modules and innovative thermal management make the megawatt storage system particularly powerful.
Compared to similar large-scale battery systems, the TPS 2.0 saves around 30 per cent of operating costs, promises Tesvolt. The containers are available in ISO standard sizes of 20, 40 and 45 feet.
