BYD hosts installers and other partners at company headquarters

BYD’s energy storage division has seen significant growth, driven largely by its strong European partner network. With a presence in over 110 countries and regions, BYD has delivered more than 60 GWh of energy storage solutions backed by 16 years of operational data.

The BYD BatteryBox, a leading residential storage system, achieved a 30% market share in Europe during the first half of 2024 according to EUPD Research, and it continues to be ranked among the most efficient systems by HTW for the seventh consecutive year. These achievements highlight the company’s commitment to innovation, safety, and cost-efficiency.

The recent BYD partner conference served as a platform to understand market challenges and opportunities. Partners noted hesitations among customers to invest in photovoltaics (PV) due to market uncertainty but acknowledged the growing integration of PV with energy storage systems like the BatteryBox. The system’s efficiency, reliability, and flexibility in capacity expansion were cited as major advantages, allowing partners to offer future-proof, cost-saving solutions.

A visit to BYD’s Nanning Industrial Park highlighted the company’s advanced manufacturing capabilities. Opened in May 2023, the facility integrates cutting-edge research, development, and production processes for energy storage systems. With a 55GWh production base and a focus on automation and rigorous quality control, the park exemplifies BYD’s commitment to scaling its operations.
