This means that Trinasolar’s entire Vertex n-type dual-glass portfolio has now received European EPD certifications.
The EPD certification is an internationally recognised third-party verification report based on the ISO 14025 standard. Through a rigorous analysis of data, it tracks full-process environmental impact of the whole product lifecycle from cradle to grave, including raw material sourcing, manufacturing and processing, transportation, production utility and recycling.

TÜV Rheinland carried out tests on Trinasolar’s Vertex S+ series modules. When awarded, this certification provides authoritative environmental performance figures.
In January 2024, Trinasolar’s Vertex N modules received ISO 14067 certification on carbon footprint from UL Solutions as well as EPD Italy’s certification (see here), while TrinaTracker was recently granted a carbon footprint certification from Bureau Veritas for its manufacturing plant in Viana, Spain. In addition, in 2023 Trinasolar’s Yiwu manufacturing facility was certified as a Zero Carbon Factory – the first factory in the PV industry to be awarded zero-carbon status by an independent agency.
