Currently, Hithium is expanding its factories from the current 15 gigawatt-hours to 70 gigawatt-hours by the end of 2023. By 2025, the target is 135 gigawatt-hours. More than 1,000 employees are working on the development of new battery storage systems in four specialised research institutes.
The goals are maximum safety of the systems and the longest possible service life of 12,000 cycles. In addition, the costs of the storage units are to be reduced.
Winfried Wahl in the team
Winfried Wahl, a technical expert, has been recruited as Director of Product Management in Europe. He has been active in photovoltaics and renewable energies for more than ten years and has helped Chinese manufacturers enter the European market. "In the course of the switch to renewable energies in Europe, we need energy storage to stabilise the grid and the energy supply," says Winfried Wahl.
