The Vitocharge VX3 has a modular design and combines inverters and up to three battery units (each with a storage capacity of four kilowatt hours) in one unit. As a result, there is no need to invest in a separate inverter when purchasing a new energy system. This integrated solution also saves space, as it can be mounted either on the wall or standing on the floor. At the same time, the new Vitocharge is so flexible that it can also be used as an AC-coupled power storage unit or exclusively as a solar inverter - without batteries. It can be retrofitted with batteries at any time.

Each battery unit consists of a compact housing and two intrinsically safe lithium-ion batteries. A multi-stage safety concept as well as integrated protection against short-circuit and reverse polarity when connecting the batteries ensures the highest possible safety. During initial commissioning, the assistant integrated in the control unit supports the installer - or the technician can use the new Vi-Start app on his smartphone or tablet. The market launch is scheduled for August 2020. (mfo)
