The commercial storage is available for two- to four-hour applications. The solution combines lithium batteries, an energy management system (EMS) and a fire extinguishing system. In addition, the AI-supported monitoring technology performs an accurate online calculation of the cell status and sends early warnings to prevent severe temperature fluctuations.

The liquid cooling concept reduces the energy required for temperature management by a good 30 per cent. The temperature difference between individual cells has been reduced to below 2.5 degrees Celsius, resulting in a more even ageing of the cells and increasing the service life of the battery modules by two years. According to the manufacturer, the high degree of prefabrication and the possibility of laying cables above ground reduce installation time. (mfo)
