These are compatible with the existing modules of the Lim50EN series. However, thanks to material optimisation, they have a significantly longer service life.
In terms of service life, the GS Yuasa have succeeded in reducing the loss of capacity during cyclical use by around 50 per cent compared to existing products. This also applies to emergency power applications. This makes it possible to operate the new battery modules over long periods of time as well as in applications with frequent charge and discharge cycles and in environments with relatively high temperatures.

GS Yuasa has recently installed a large grid-balancing battery on Hokkaido.
The service life is 11,000 charge/discharge cycles, with a deep discharge (DOD) of 100 per cent. The service life under trickle charge is 15 years, after which time the battery has a remaining capacity of at least 90 per cent, the manufacturer promises. The maximum charge current is 125 amperes or 2.5C and the maximum discharge current is 300 amperes or 6C. (mfo)
