The storage trade fair EES Europe in Munich is dominated by storage units for commercial and industrial applications. Larger electricity storage units form a separate business segment in which the storage system is specially designed, adapted and installed to meet the needs of the company. Special features such as peak shaving, demand side management and grid stabilisation (balancing power, phase shifting) are playing an increasingly important role. In addition, the storage units serve to optimise the companies' self-consumption of solar power (and other self-generated electricity) in order to reduce energy costs.
Generally, emergency power and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) are also very important for customers. An important market driver is the provision of high short-term charging outputs for EVs (commercial vehicle fleets). As part of the pv Guided Tours on commercial storage, we will present the most important innovations in this rapidly growing area of the solar energy transition.
Our tour guides are the storage experts Dietmar Geckeler and Niels Hendrik Petersen from Berlin.

Each of the tours has a specific topic and the number of participants is limited. Participation is free of charge. The tours will be offered in German on all three days of the trade fair (15-17 May 2019) and in English on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
The groups will be led by an expert editor. Product managers, engineers and sales experts will be on hand at the stands of the cooperating companies to present the innovations and answer the participants' questions. Each tour lasts about two hours and will start at the photovoltaik und pv Europe stand in Hall B1, Stand 209/309.
Participation is subject to prior registration. Registration includes free access to the four trade fairs that make up The smarter E Europe. Headsets are available for the guided tours. (HS/mfo)
