The Luna2000 comes in a modular design. The smallest version has a capacity of 5 kilowatt hours. Up to three battery modules can be stacked to obtain a capacity of 15 kWh. The system is complemented by a power module (DC/DC) with 5 kilowatts. Two stacks can be connected in parallel to achieve a capacity of 30 kilowatt hours.
The power module weighs 12 kilograms, one battery module comes in at 50 kilograms. Thanks to its modular design and comparatively low weight, the Luna2000 is easy to transport and install. It can be mounted on a stand or on the wall. The Luna2000 is put into operation using a user-friendly app.

The charge optimisation function available at the battery module level enables a depth of discharge of up to 100 per cent and a high energy yield. The intelligent battery management addresses each battery module independently. This is an important component of the multi-level safety concept of the new home storage system and also covers the inverter. The battery cells of the Luna2000 are made with lithium iron phosphate and are considered particularly reliable.
The new home storage system can be combined with Huawei’s single-phase and three-phase inverters. For retrofitting existing systems, however, the complete Huawei storage system can also be combined with third-party suppliers. In this case, the Huawei inverter can be integrated with the Luna2000 as an AC coupled storage system in an existing PV system. This means that even larger PV systems can be realised using a Huawei AC storage system. (hcn/mfo)
