The outdoor storage system Vigos is designed for operation at temperatures from minus 30 degrees Celsius to plus 50 degrees Celsius and resists rain, snow and frost. The unit is scalable from 18 to 96 kilowatt hours, can be combined with the Greenrock salt water storage system and is supplied ready for connection. According to the manufacturer, Vigos has a service life of up to 20,000 cycles and charges electric vehicles from the batteries within a very short time. The high charging and discharging performance with a C-rate of up to 2.0 makes this possible. An LTO battery is installed, i.e. a lithium-ion battery which replaces the graphite with a lithium titanate oxide, at least at the anode.

The external power storage Vigos is suitable for emergency power, island operation and black start. In the event of a power failure, the system automatically switches over to its own circuit in less than 20 milliseconds. If connected accordingly, the solar power system simply continues to operate. An integrated energy management system (EMS) records relevant data such as surpluses from the photovoltaic system, optimises internal consumption and controls the energy sources, dynamic e-charging stations or consumers integrated into the system.
