At this year's Smarter E Europe trade fair in Munich, Tesvolt, together with Denios, is presenting a complete solution consisting of battery storage and fire protection that is probably unique to date. The Power Safe product series can be used in water protection areas or regions with a high risk of forest fires.
The storage units meet the highest requirements of specialised insurers. The fire protection cover meets the F90 specification. The storage containers are available in various sizes, from 80 kilowatt hours to several megawatt hours.
Safety certificate for authorities
The storage units are housed in a double-frame construction that is classified with fire protection REI 90 or REI 120. It can withstand a fire from the inside or outside for at least 90 minutes and provides the safety certificate for the authorities at the same time.

Lengthy approval processes are significantly shortened. The safety certification allows the installation directly next to buildings without a minimum distance. In addition, Denios offers remote monitoring around the clock.
If problems occur, the operator is alerted immediately. Extinguishing technology with aerosol is optionally available for the safety container.
Certified safety
The high safety of Tesvolt storage units is ensured on the one hand by the design of the battery cells: prismatic cells are considered the safest lithium-ion cells. On the system level, the battery management system also monitors the voltage of each individual cell.
The entire system is subject to constant monitoring. If the standardised range is left, the system is automatically transferred to a safe state.

The fire-protected room systems of the Power-Safe series have a European Technical Assessment (ETA) and the associated CE marking. This means they offer increased planning and legal certainty for country-specific approval procedures.
On display at the Tesvolt stand
Sales of the Power-Safe battery storage systems are primarily handled by Denios, but can also be handled by Tesvolt on request. The new system will be presented at the EES Europe trade fair at the Tesvolt booth: stand 110 in hall B2. (HS/mfo)
