Ecoflow presented the three-phase Powerocean and the new Powerocean DC Fit at the EES 2023 trade fair in Munich back in June 2023. The DC Fit has been available in Germany since the end of November. It is a retrofit solution designed for existing solar systems. This expands the product range. Powerinsight Home Manager and Powerpulse Charger aim to improve energy management, including EV charging at home, and complement the ecosystem.
Modular design and flexible investment
The modular design of the DC Fit home storage system enables customised expansion from a five kilowatt-hour battery pack to up to 15 kilowatt-hours to cover the household's individual energy requirements. The expansion is characterised by the fact that only one battery pack is required at the beginning and therefore offers a simpler investment path than other solutions. The DC storage unit is connected directly to the solar modules. This simplifies the installation process as there is no need for AC cabling. In addition, the device bypasses the grid connection authorisation process.

The Home Energy Manager and the E-Charger are additions to the Home Energy ecosystem. The Powerinsight manager not only monitors the household's energy consumption in real time, but also manages consumption and controls connected household appliances. The e-charger also offers a fast charging capacity of eleven kilowatts. According to the manufacturer, safety is a top priority: Powerpulse is equipped with thermal sensors for continuous condition monitoring, ensuring comprehensive protection for vehicles and households.
DC Fit home storage available from April 2024
Powerocean three-phase has been available in Germany since the end of September. Powerinsight and Powerpulse will be available at the beginning of 2024. The manufacturer plans to announce the availability of the single-phase Powerocean DC Fit at a later date. (nhp/mfo)
