In addition to an existing or newly installed PV system, an additional power generator or a fuel cell can be connected as an option. If the energy from photovoltaics is not sufficient or if consumers with a high energy demand are operated, the unit automatically starts the electricity generator. To ensure that this is operated as briefly and efficiently as possible, the generated energy is also used to charge the battery.

The Hybrid can also be operated without grid feed-in and works like an uninterruptible power supply. Consumers in households and businesses can also be supplied without a grid connection – thus eliminating bureaucratic hurdles with the grid operator and the tax authorities. (mfo)
