The first two markets launched this month are Spain and Italy, followed in spring by France, Great Britain, Sweden, and the Netherlands. "Since the debut of MyReserve Matrix last year, interest has been extremely high – in Germany as well as abroad. In the meantime, we have strengthened important sales structures and are now starting the Europe-wide sales of our battery with a powerful team,” says Solarwatt CEO, Detlef Neuhaus. "So far, we have been known abroad as a manufacturer of premium PV modules. With the introduction of MyReserve Matrix, our foreign customers now also benefit from the advantages of our complete systems concept, where all components of the PV system are perfectly coordinated and thus maximally efficient."
Innovative, modular concept
The Solarwatt MyReserve Matrix battery was presented to the general public for the first time at Intersolar / ees 2017. Even before its official launch in August 2017, the battery won the coveted ees Award for its innovative, modular concept. The MyReserve Matrix consists of just two components, which can be scalably tailored in both performance and capacity. It was developed principally to be modular and can therefore be adapted exactly to the specific conditions of each installation.
Growing interest in Spain for solar self-consumption
"The Spanish photovoltaic market, after years of regression, is developing very promisingly again towards self consumption," says Ernesto Maçias Galán, General Manager of Solarwatt Spain. "We started our activities in April 2017 with installing MyReserve batteries through our partner network. The technical improvements of the MyReserve Matrix will increase our battery sales tenfold in 2018. We believe that Spain will be the third largest European battery market.” (HCN)
