The system from Tesvolt employs a newly developed container module which offers highly flexible installation in both indoor and outdoor environments, and also protects the storage unit effectively from external influences. A service life of 30 years and 8,000 charge cycles makes investment in the new battery storage system particularly worthwhile for industrial applications.
The containers are insulated and air conditioned, enabling them to provide constant environmental conditions in temperatures ranging from minus 40 to plus 55 degree Celsius. As a result, the storage systems no longer need to be installed in closed, air-conditioned rooms, and they can achieve consistently high performance levels even in challenging environments such as factories, barns or the open outdoors.
Thanks to their sturdy design, the containers can be transported in their entirety either by road or sea. Standard ISO container sizes of 20ft, 40ft and 45ft are available. Once at the installation site, all that remains is to connect the unit to a Sunny Central Storage System from SMA Solar Technology, which can also be supplied as a container module. A discharge rate of 1C makes the TPS suitable for both on- and off-grid applications such as primary operating reserves, peak load capping, ramp rate control and load levelling, as well as for use in hybrid systems.
