Battery guarantees offered by manufacturers focus primarily on the safety of the storage safety of the storage system but often neglect the earnings potential. As a rule these guarantees ensure a residual capacity of 60 to 80 per cent over several years. However, they are linked to strict operating conditions, such as maximum charging cycles, charging and discharging rates (C-rate) and operating temperatures. Failure to comply with these conditions will accelerate degradation and affect both performance and cost-effectiveness.
