EWS expands its warehouses – storage webinar with RCT Power coming Tuesday

This warehouse will add another 1,800 square metres of logistics space. Warehouse 7 will provide space for over 700 solar module pallets and approximately the same number of pallets with battery storage units. This corresponds to an increase in storage capacity for battery storage systems of almost 25 per cent and for modules of almost 35 per cent.

In the future, the new warehouse will be used to process direct deliveries, which now account for almost a quarter of sales. These are consignments of goods that are delivered directly from EWS to the solar specialist partners or even directly to the construction site without further reloading.

Investment of around € 1.5 million – four additional loading bays

“The warehouse and site were planned in such a way that the greatest possible efficiency can be guaranteed for this type of consignment,” explains Deputy Managing Director Jan Paul Dahm. “This includes the type and number of picking areas, the ratio of storage space to loading bays and also the connection to the existing EWS warehouse site.”

The four additional loading bays make it possible to send 16 additional lorries on their way every day. At full capacity, Warehouse 7 will create two office workstations and five warehouse workstations.

The construction costs are estimated at around €1.5 million. With the investment in logistics and the parallel expansion of the IT infrastructure, EWS is continuing to focus on stability and growth in times of consolidation in the solar industry: ‘With this investment, we are setting an example of continuity - for our customers, our suppliers and our employees,’ says EWS company founder and Managing Director Kai Lippert.
