Project developer Q Energy is planning to build three large solar power plants in Andalusia in southern Spain. The solar power can supply more than 92,000 households. In total, 62,000 tonnes of CO2 per year will be avoided in future.
With 44 megawatt hours and an output of 35 megawatts, the facility can supply 10,000 people for a day. With the storage unit, the operator Gazel Energie wants to facilitate the integration of renewables.
The floating solar park will be built on the on the site of former gravel pits in the Haute-Marne region of France. It has a capacity of 74.3 MW.
