The two companies Siemens Smart Infrastructure and Volta Trucks have agreed on a strategic partnership for e- commercial vehicles. The aim is to speed up the transition to electric truck fleets in the future. The all-electric Volta Zero is also intended to help.

In the future, Siemens will focus more on wireless charging solutions for electric vehicles.

New high-temperature heat pump in the heart of Berlin

The principle of heat pumps is simple: with a certain amount of electricity, they raise the temperature of a low-temperature heat source to a higher, usable level. In this way, they generate much more heat than would be the case if electrical energy were converted directly into heat.

EnBW is building two more subsidy-free large-scale photovoltaic projects in Brandenburg/Germany with a capacity of 150 megawatts [MW] each.

The charging station already supports voltages between 150 and 1,000 volts and charging currents up to 1,000 amps.

Siemens Smart Infrastructure introduces the new Sicharge D fast charging station for public charging. It is suitable as a rapid charger on the motorway and in the city, in public car parks and in shopping centres.

The aim of the pebbles project is to show that local energy and flexibility trading can help to avoid bottlenecks in the electricity grid and thus reduce the costs of energy system transformation. The pictures shows decentralized renewable power generation from wind turbines and photovoltaic on site.
