CCE Holding is expanding its activities in the Netherlands and will realize two large plants this year. In addition to the solar PV plant in Marknesse ( Flevoland), construction work began in February on another solar park in Rafelder (Gelderland) on a former garbage dump.

Germany: Photovoltaics have broken the 100-gigawatt mark

In 2024, solar energy covered around 14 percent of Germany's electricity consumption. In 2024, more than one million new solar power systems were registered. The newly installed photovoltaic capacity grew by around ten percent compared to the previous year.

Hungary: IB Vogt builds and sells first 66 MW solar park

Solar developer IB Vogt has signed an agreement to sell a 66 MW PV project to Hungarian MOL Group. The solar farm will begin commercial operation in Q1 2025. This marks the first project by IB Vogt in the Hungary.

Switzerland: Alpine „NalpSolar“ project launched by Axpo

Axpo has given the go-ahead to construction of the „NalpSolar“ alpine solar plant in the Swiss canton of Graubünden. Work is planned to commence this March. Located 2,000 metres above sea level, the 8 MW PV plant will generate important climate-friendly electricity, particularly during the winter months.

Polish investor R.Power plans 100 MW of solar power for the Portuguese market

Project developer and investor R.Power has announced ambitious plans for the Portuguese market. The Warsaw-based company aims to build up a portfolio of 100 MW of photovoltaic systems in Portugal in the medium term. New investments in solar and battery storage are also planned in Spain.
