The 45 MW solar PV project included in the sale has recently secured financing from a leading Greek bank and is expected to complete construction in the second half of 2025. The project comprises three distinct sites in the municipality Almyros, Greece, with a combined peak capacity of 45 MW. The annual electricity generated by the solar plant will equal the average consumption of more than 17,000 households, offsetting up to 25,000 metric tonnes of CO2 emissions.

Installed solar fleet of 10 GW reached
The Greek solar market saw a record growth in 2024 with 2.9 GW of new installations, dominated by C&I installations, reaching a operating solar fleet of 10 GW, according to the EU Market Outlook for Solar Power 2024-2028. Further strong growth, also in the PV utility-scale, the residential and energy storage sector is expected. (hcn)
