According to RWE, this brings the existing global solar pipeline to ten gigawatts. The new projects are spread across Poland. Most of them are large-scale projects in various stages of development. "Maturity ranges from identified opportunities at an early stage to projects ready for construction," RWE writes.

Alpha Solar's team includes around 60 solar professionals. The headquarters are in Warsaw, with three regional offices in Inowrocław, Łódź and Rzeszów. As part of the RWE Renewables team, the employees will work on the implementation of the existing pipeline of solar projects as well as on the development of new projects. RWE also plans to build and commission new solar plants with around 70 megawatts in Poland this year as well as next year. However, these projects will not come from the newly acquired pipeline, RWE confirms. (nhp/mfo)
