What technological innovations can installers expect?
The next new product will be the Fronius Verto family. This is currently in pre-series production. These are inverters up to 30 kilowatts for smaller businesses, which will replace the Snapinverters in the future. We are also launching a Tauro with 3x208 volts for Mexico, Central America, Colombia and Brazil. With this product, we are serving an interesting niche, as additional transformers will no longer be necessary. There are not many 208-volt inverter manufacturers in the Tauro performance class.
Are there also further developments for the GEN24?
A GEN24 SC will be launched on the market next year. This will be an inverter with higher input currents on the DC side so that installers can also connect the new modules better and are more flexible. In addition to the GEN24 Plus, the GEN24 will also be launched. This is a photovoltaic inverter that can later be upgraded to a hybrid inverter via the Fronius upgrade program.
Will the Verto become a hybrid inverter?
It will initially start as a pure inverter without a hybrid function. We will then proceed with the hybridization of the platform.
Are there also plans to hybridize the Fronius Tauro?
We are initially focusing on the hybridization of solar systems for residential and small commercial buildings. This is our home port and we want to nurture it. We are not currently investing any resources in the hybridization of systems outside the traditional prosumer market. Quality and safety are very important to us, which is why we accompany our developments with very long pre-series, as this gives us the certainty that the product will be fully developed when it comes onto the market.
Will there be any further development on the battery side?
The battery market is currently very dynamic and our focus is on efficient and high-quality system solutions. We are also very busy with this. For example, we are now making the LG Enblock E compatible with the GEN24 Plus.
