Genera, which is organised by the Madrid Exhibition Centre, among others, is showing strong growth this year. It brings together 385 exhibitors from 21 countries. Among them are 141 exhibitors from abroad. After the Corona pandemic, it was a kind of new start, which even the Secretary of State for Energy, Sara Aagesen Muñoz, did not want to miss. Spain has set itself ambitious climate goals. Renewable energies are to cover at least 42 per cent of final energy consumption and 74 per cent of electricity demand by 2030.
Chemitek and Birdblocker
Thematically, storage systems, energy management systems (EMS) as well as inverters, optimisers and lots of photovoltaic modules as well as some tracking systems will be shown in the two full exhibition halls. In addition, the topic of maintenance will also be presented: Cleaning robots, attachments for tractors as well as chemical solutions such as from Chemitek are on display, as well as the built-in pigeon protection from Birdblocker. Wallboxes and charging systems for electric vehicles with the highest possible solar self-consumption are of course also there several times.

On a total of three days, the innovative solar industry shows itself from its best side. Many well-known German companies are also exhibiting in Spain: SMA, Sonnen, Baywa r.e., Schletter, K2 Systems and Krannich Solar are showing their portfolios and some of their innovative new products. It is also noticeable that many (old and new) exhibitors from China are showing up. And not only as module manufacturers, but also in the field of inverters and storage systems there are some new manufacturers who have not yet been seen in Europe.
Ecoflow shows innovative balcony solar system
The so-called innovation gallery at Genera shows a selection of 16 projects and products that offer a technological novelty. One example is the solar system by the company Ecoflow. It comes with flexible and very light modules for the balcony together with a mobile storage unit with lithium iron phosphate cells. The storage unit weighs only twelve kilograms and has one kilowatt hour, the output is 1.6 kilowatts. We will report in more detail on other innovations in the next few days. So: Hasta luego!
