Preparations for the major trade fair for the solar, storage and electromobility industry in Munich are in full swing. There are only a few weeks left until the gates of The smarter E Europe open - for the first time in two years in its full size. Expectations are high after the successful restart in October 2021, and the chances are good that they will be fulfilled. Because the 132,000 square meters of exhibition space are almost fully booked.
Solutions for the solar energy revolution
The approximately 1,450 exhibitors are ready for the more than 50,000 visitors that the trade fair organizer Solar Promotion expects. Here installers, planners but also builders and architects, municipal planners, urban developers and energy service providers will find the latest products and solutions for the solar energy turnaround: From mounting systems and modules for solar installations on the roof, in the facade or on open spaces to intelligent control of entire buildings, from charging solutions for electric cars to battery storage systems of all sizes.
Green hydrogen as a focal point
Under the motto "Creating a new energy world," the show will focus on a variety of topics. For example, there will be a dedicated forum on green hydrogen. In Hall B3, trade fair visitors will not only find plenty of information about the latest technologies and products for using surplus solar power to generate hydrogen. It is also a stage where industry representatives will present the solutions and potential applications of green hydrogen.
Expert forums accompany the exhibition
The individual sub-fairs Intersolar Europe, EES Europe, Power2Drive and EM Power will also be accompanied by their own forums. While visitors can find out about innovations on the market and the latest products and solutions at the exhibition booths, the individual forums will offer numerous impulse presentations on outstanding projects and on current trends in the industry.
Electrifying car fleets
The Power2Drive Forum, for example, is not only dedicated to the state of the art in electromobility. After all, the worlds of electricity and mobility are increasingly converging. It will also be about the possibilities and solutions for building the charging infrastructure to electrify entire fleets. Speakers will also address the interplay between electric vehicles, photovoltaic systems and storage. But the forum will also address topics that are currently still regulatory futures, such as the use of electric cars as mobile storage units.
Testing electric cars
In order to be able to test electric mobility in practice, there will be a test track on the open-air site directly adjacent to the exhibition halls, where visitors to the trade fair can try out the latest vehicle models. After all, the trade fair is all about new and up-to-date products. After all, it's not just photovoltaics that are growing, having set a record in Europe last year. The installation figures for storage systems are also rising, as are those for charging columns. This in turn is affecting the market for electric cars and for solar systems. (su/hcn)
