Decentralised energy production that is not only environmentally friendly but also more cost-effective and can sustainably improve the quality of life in many parts of the world is within reach. It is still an enormous motivation to contribute a small part to this.
We are on a very good path
I think we are already on a very good path here. We just have to keep at it. When I see how the demand for photovoltaic systems continues to increase with dramatically decreasing feed-in tariffs and tax obstacles, then you can quickly see that we are moving in the right direction.
See here what Thomas Kercher had to say on our Leaders of our Industry series
The more people gain experience with photovoltaics, the more it will be accepted and used by the general population. And as the number of people who think about the sensible use of photovoltaics increases, so does creativity and thus innovation. We only have to ensure through the quality of our products that the experience with photovoltaics is and remains positive.
EEG amendment must strengthen self-consumption
My wish for the upcoming EEG amendment is that self-consumption should be strengthened. In my view, the EU is making the right demands here. Why these are not being implemented is beyond me.
The taxation of self-consumption and the bureaucracy should urgently be reduced in order to further strengthen the expansion of renewables. In my view, it makes most sense to generate and consume energy decentrally. This should be promoted and not prevented. (mfo)
