The mounting system manufacturer K2 Systems from Renningen in Swabia has opened a new location in Spain. With the branch in Valencia, the company aims to better serve the Spanish solar market. The main aim here is to offer a comprehensive service and support for installers and partners.
Solutions for Spain's roofs
Of course, market growth also plays a decisive role in the decision to open the eleventh international location in Europe in Valencia, thereby strengthening the company's presence in the European markets. After all, Spain is located in the part of Europe with the highest solar radiation, which makes the market particularly interesting. "This year in particular, we expect to see major growth in the commercial and residential sectors," explains Miguel Giménez, Country Manager of K2 Systems for Spain and Portugal.

"Due to the trapezoidal sheet metal and tile or flat roofs that are most common in Spain, Spanish customers are particularly interested in Multirail, Solidrail and the Dome 6 Allrounder. The new ground-mounted systems will also be relevant for the Spanish market. With these K2 solutions, we will be able to realise photovoltaic projects with an output of up to 15 megawatts," says Giménez, describing the goal.
In order to achieve this goal, it is necessary to strengthen the team and the local presence, emphasises Giménez. The new office is located in the Geminis Center, a technology centre in the west of Valencia. The permanent presence and the team with its technical expertise offer planners and installers many advantages and, above all, a contact person in the country. (su/mfo)
