Italy: CCE realizes solar park without subsidies

CCE Italia announces the grid connection of a 4.6 MW photovoltaic plant in Ardea (Lazio region): With immediate effect, the plant will supply around 2500 households in the region with green energy.

To realise the solar park, 7,826 bifacial modules were installed to capture the solar energy from both sides of the modules and thus maximise the system's output.

Located on a planned industrial area

The solar park is located on an area of 11 hectares that was originally intended for industrial use. By installing the PV system, CCE Italia prevented the soil from being sealed and utilised the brownfield site to generate electricity.

Italy: Record growth in renewables and PV in 2024

‘We are very proud of the grid connection of the PV plant in Ardea, the first in a development pipeline totalling 3.6 GW, a large part of which we intend to connect to the national grid in the coming months and years. We are thus making a significant contribution to the country's energy transition,’ comments Sandro Esposito, Managing Director of CCE Italia. (hcn)
