The project developer PNE, based in Cuxhaven in northern Germany, has successfully completed the sale of solar projects in Italy and Romania. In Romania, ONE has sold a solar park with an output of 61.5 megawatts. The plant is being built in the south of the country, in an area that is one of the most productive in Romania. The buyer is a local company. However, the project has only reached construction maturity and has yet to be built.
114 megawatts planned in Italy
Several projects in Italy, which PNE has sold to an infrastructure fund managed by Recap Global Investors, are at a stage before they are ready for construction. Recap is an international investment advisor for renewable energy infrastructure with a total portfolio under management of 1.2 gigawatts.

This includes not only solar plants, but also onshore wind power generators and battery storage systems. Through WKN Italia, which is part of the PNE Group, PNE is now supporting the projects until they are ready for construction. The turbines are planned with an output of around 114 megawatts.
Five projects already sold in Romania
For PNE, the sale of the turbines marks a successful end to the year, as Managing Director Markus Lesser emphasises. "This is already the second sale in Romania this year. In July, we were already able to announce the sale of five photovoltaic projects to a French energy group," says Lesser.
More plants planned in Italy
PNE has been active in both the Italian and Romanian markets for many years. The company has already developed and sold solar and wind power plants with a total output of 571 megawatts in Romania. In Italy, the PNE Group has realised around 300 megawatts of wind projects since 2006.

The sale that has now been concluded represents the first photovoltaic projects of the PNE Group in Italy. PNE intends to further develop photovoltaics in Italy with an experienced team, which the company has built up in the meantime PNE will not only develop projects, but also construct them for its own portfolio.
