Webatt Energia has implemented the largest single installation of a sonnenBatterie worldwide to date with a total storage capacity of 247.5 kilowatt hours (kWh) in Spain. The 9 sonnenBatterie 10 connected in series are fed by a photovoltaic system with 60 kWp and bring it together to an output of 41.4 kW.
The storage system was installed at Arico Forest, a specialist in forestry services such as reforestation, sustainable road and forest maintenance and the production of biomass. For Arico Forest, reducing their own carbon footprint was the top priority in their decision to switch to renewable energies. As early as 2020, the company used its available space to install the PV system and also replaced its gas-powered vehicles with electric vehicles.
Self-generated energy to supply the company
With the now installed Sonnen Batterien, the company goes one step further and can use significantly more of its self-generated energy to supply the company, the offices and the electric vehicles. In addition, the energy supply with solar power becomes more constant and reliable. Arico Forest's vision is to generate most of the energy needed in harmony with the protection of the environment and climate.

The installation was carried out by Webatt Energia, who have been using the sonnenBatterie for their customers since 2017 and are sonnen's largest specialist partner in Spain. The installation in Les Preses was also a new experience for the sonnen partner, as Webatt Managing Director Franc Comino reports:

Cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate batteries
The new Sonnen Batterie 10 is a modular storage system with an output of 4.6 kW. The storage capacity ranges from 5.5 kWh and goes up to 27.5 kWh for use in households. For commercial applications, the Sonnen Batterie 10 can be cascaded up to 247.5 kWh. Sonnen only uses cobalt-free lithium iron phosphate batteries, which are considered to be particularly safe and durable. (hcn)
