In the end they actually succeeded, mainly because the community provided tremendous support. The deal that was proposed was simple. If they ended up being able to raise this amount of money, the development of the Sion would be continued. Eventually, the community provided the funds, and Sono Motors gave everything to have new prototypes by the end of 2020. Today, after a year of unprecedented global challenges, they are able to say: job done.
