Energiequelle enters the Polish market

Managing director Arkadius Sliwka is currently starting work. Another five employees are to be hired in 2022 to acquire and implement projects. Over 30 projects with a total capacity of more than 1,000 MW are already under consideration. The company is close to concluding contracts with some cooperation partners.

Strategically, Energiequelle sees the expansion of solar energy as its goal, but at the same time it is also looking at offers in the wind sector. In addition to the takeover, the company will also focus on developing its own projects in the long term.

Managing Director Sliwka observes large increases in renewable energies in Poland and is convinced that this trend will continue in the future: "We estimate that the potential of onshore wind energy will exceed a total of 20 GW of installed capacity by 2030 due to the liberalization of the 10-H distance regulation."

Poland is the fourth European country in which the company has its own subsidiary, along with Germany, France and Finland. In total, Energiequelle employs more than 350 people and has connected more than 1,500 MW to the grid to date. (hcn)
