A total of over 350,000 solar modules will be installed on trackers to increase the energy yield. The solar parks will be completed in stages from the end of 2025 until the second half of 2026. Together, the three solar parks will cover an area of over 450 hectares. The solar power plants will have 105 megawatts, 73 megawatts and 26 megawatts respectively. They are being built in the provinces of Seville, Jaén and Córdoba. Q Energy developed the projects and, as EPC, is also responsible for the entire planning, procurement and construction process.

In addition to the projects mentioned, Q Energy is already working on further projects in Andalusia: four additional solar parks are currently being installed or are about to be commissioned. The total capacity in the region adds up to around 400 megawatts, which will go into operation by the end of 2026. ‘Q Energy has a strong development pipeline throughout Spain, which is now steadily reaching the construction phase,’ explains Eduardo de la Hera, Head of Development Iberia at the company. The prospects for solar power in Spain are currently very good overall. (nhp)
