"Croatia is an exciting market for Krannich," says Mateo Markoc, who set up the new branch and also looks after customers in Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina with his team. "The PV market is still manageable, but we see great potential. The most important electricity suppliers are old hydropower plants. However, hydropower cannot cover the increasing demand. On average, we have 2,600 hours of sunshine a year - perfect for a strong expansion of solar energy in the coming years."

Tomaž Repas, who is responsible for Slovenia together with his team, is just as optimistic: "Slovenia has set itself ambitious targets and wants to phase out coal energy by 2033 and greatly expand renewable energy. To achieve this, the government is also focusing on subsidy programs, for example for PV roof systems with storage and heat pumps."
Access to the entire PV portfolio
Both countries are connected to Krannich Solar's European webshop, meaning that local customers can access the entire portfolio and purchase everything they need for PV installations from mounting systems and modules to inverters, storage systems and charging stations via Krannich.
"As a wholesaler, we play an important role in the energy transition. We supply installers and buffer any supply difficulties or oversupply. We offer advice, support and expertise. We want to fulfill this role better and better worldwide. The two new branches are an important step in this direction, not only for Croatia and Slovenia, but for the entire Balkan region," says Jan Brunner, CSO of Krannich Solar. (hcn)
